About St James Park

St James Park is a unique green space in the historic heart of the city of Toronto. It is a welcome oasis and meeting place for the St. Lawrence neighbourhood where residents, workers, commuters, and visitors alike enjoy its natural and landscaped beauty. The park has a little something for everyone—an open green and playground, a contemplative garden, a strong dog community, performance space, cathedral architecture and historical features.

About Friends of St James Park Toronto

Friends of St James Park (FSJP) Toronto aims to strengthen the community through partnerships and grass-roots stewardship to make the park lively, safe, and fun.

FSJP Objectives

Connect neighbours by encouraging participation in activities, events, programs, and volunteering.

Partner with diverse groups and people, encouraging inclusiveness, leadership and active participation in park programming.

Promote physical health and mental wellbeing by spending time in green space.

Expand the reach of the park with park advocacy within the city-wide network of green spaces and parks.

Contribute to the sense of community that is cultivated by promoting the historical legacy of the park and its neighbourhood—Old Town Toronto.
